Our Brand
What It Symbolises
Can you see a ‘human’ figure under a blue sky? The head of the NHC ‘person’ is copper coloured, like our African sun and the copper we produce. The person has two green arms and legs, and guided by our values, will grow and flourish.
Inspired by indigenous art, our ‘person’ sits at the heart of our identity, reflecting that people are central to our success and the core of what the logo represents. With outstretched arms, legs, and a head beneath a blue sky - our logo is a clear reminder that PEOPLE are NHC’s greatest asset.
Inspired by our environment, our people are tough but live in harmony with the Namibian environment. Our logo also symbolises the unique Welwitschia plant, with its two leaves under an African sun. Tough and resilient and living for thousands of years, our people know what it takes to ensure a sustainable future.
Inspired by our responsibility, producing copper supports Namibia’s global role and contribution to the green energy transition, symbolised by the copper and green colours.
Ultimately, our logo incorporates a sense of movement as our NHC people are adaptable and continuously working to ensure operational safety and sustainability. Hope, aspiration and balance locally and globally.
Sustainability
New Horizon Copper is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive and purpose-driven workplace across its operations at Kombat Mine. Guided by our health, safety, environmental and people-focused policies, we prioritise employee wellbeing, skills development, local employment, diversity and meaningful engagement with our host communities.
We are committed to continuous improvement through training, operational development programmes and responsible workplace practices that align with Namibian legislation and mining industry standards. By promoting a culture of accountability, fairness and safety, New Horizon Copper seeks to create long-term value for our workforce, surrounding communities and Namibia’s broader mining sector.
Environment
At Kombat Mine, New Horizon Copper applies the precautionary principle to protect biodiversity and minimise environmental impact throughout its operations. Our responsible mining practices include biodiversity assessments, air and noise monitoring, and dust suppression measures designed to mitigate potential impacts on surrounding ecosystems. Through careful land-use planning and ongoing collaboration with local authorities and communities, we work to identify and protect critical habitats while promoting the long-term sustainability of the natural environment.
Water management remains a key operational priority at Kombat Mine, particularly underground where effective water management is essential to safe and sustainable mining activities. On surface, responsible water stewardship is equally important for both operations and neighbouring communities. New Horizon Copper continues to reduce runoff, minimise reliance on shared water resources, and closely monitor site-wide water consumption. Ongoing investments in water storage, metering systems and climate-resilient infrastructure further strengthen operational resilience, risk management and continuous improvement across the site.
Social
Meaningful, High-impact Initiatives
At New Horizon Copper, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) actions are designed to create lasting, measurable value for the communities in which we operate. Guided by Namibia’s national development priorities (including Vision 2030, NDP5 and the Harambee Prosperity Plan II), and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our approach focuses on building resilient communities, supporting sustainable economic growth, and protecting the environment for future generations.
Our social programmes prioritise meaningful, high-impact initiatives within the Kombat community and surrounding areas, with a focus on:

Through this framework, New Horizon Copper is committed to moving beyond short-term community support towards a coordinated, partnership-driven and accountable CSR approach. By working closely with local authorities, traditional leaders, community organisations and government institutions, we strive to ensure our initiatives are relevant, community-led and sustainable over the long term.
